Vijay, fondly known as Thalapathy, is one of the biggest and highest-paid Kollywood actors today. He made his debut as a lead in his father SA Chandrasekhar’s 1992 directorial Naalaiya Theerpu. But his first box office hit came in the form of Rasigan, which was released in 1994. Till 2003, Vijay acted in several romantic films like Thulladha Manamum Thullum, Kushi and Priyamaanavale. It was in 2003 that Vijay’ career took another turn. He tasted success with action film Thirumalai, and late came up with Ghilli, Thirupachi and Pokkiri. He gained fame as an “action hero”, and there seemed to be no stopping the star as he dabbled in this massy genre. Ever since the lockdown was imposed all over the country, all the theatres and other public places had to be shut, so people are staying at the home and spending time with their family members.
The fans are enjoying their favourite films and series on OTT platforms and television and recently, fans came up with a survey that claimed that Tamil actor Vijay was one of the most watched Indian actors on TV during lockdown. However, BARC India refuted the news and stated that these were fake numbers.
As per the fake report, Vijay’ films had secured 117.9 Million impressions while Raghava Lawrence had secured 76.2 Million impressions, followed by Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Young Rebel star Prabhas.
On the work front, Vijay will be next seen in upcoming much hyped movie Master.
