The movie Maharshi is directed by Vamsi Paidipally of Oopiri fame and jointly produced by C Ashwini Dutt, Dil Raju, PVP through their banners Vyjayanthi Movies, Sri Venkateswara Creations, and PVP Cinema whereas the film had the music by Devi Sri Prasad. The film also had Allari Naresh Jayasudha, Meenakshi Dixit, , Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, and Ananya play supporting roles.
