Sai Dharam Tej and Aishwarya Rajesh are currently working together for an upcoming social drama Republic. The makers of the film have already announced that Republic will hit screens on June 4. But now according to the latest report, Sai Dharam Tej starrer may be postponed. Directed by Deva Katta, Republic focuses on the three pillars of democracy — legislative, executive and judiciary, and the film is being touted as an intriguing social drama.
Recently during the media interaction, the makers of Republic announced that the film’s release date may be pushed to a later date due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The entire shoot of Deva Katta’ directorial venture has been already wrapped up and currently the team is busy in the post production work. Sai Dharam Tej is playing an IPS officer and it also has Jagapathi Babu, Subbaraju, Rahul Ramakrishna, Sai Dheena and Ramya Krishna in crucial roles. Senior producers Bhagwan and Pullarao are jointly bankrolling the film under JB Entertainments banner whereas it has the music by Mani Sharma.
The movie Republic was announced earlier this year on the occasion of the ‘Republic Day’ and later the first look poster was released. Earlier during an interview, Sai Dharam Tej had said that he monitored a few young IAS officers and other bureaucrats in the country to understand the body language required to play his character.
