A 57 years old Telangana man with no foreign travel history tested Coronavirus positive. And a 23 years old woman who returned from Scotland tested positive to Covid-19 within 24 hours in Bengal. While three of the patients came back to the city from UK, what has set alarm bells ringing within medical officials and administration is the case of 4th patient who has no travel history.
The man resident of Dumdum in North Parganas district was admitted to the private hospital- Salt lake as he was suffering from fever and dry cough. His symptoms intensified since Thursday to acute respiratory syndrome and he has been on ventilation since.
The person’ samples tested positive twice and currently he is at an isolation ICU of the hospital. This the first case of Coronavirus positive tested for a Telangana people, as all the 20 cases reported earlier were of the people who have visited the state from out of country recently. Though many of the people went out for a short vacation, the latest is the first Telangana resident case who got transmitted with the COVID-19 coronavirus from outside visitors.
Earlier in the day, a 23 years old lady from Habra in the same district, with a recent travel history to Scotland, tested positive for COVID-19- Coronavirus.
