Tragedy struck noted director Boyapati Srinu’s household. According to the latest update, Boyapati Srinu’s mother Seetharavamma passed away yesterday evening at 7:22 pm. She was 80. Seetharavamma was suffering from prolonged illness for quite some time and she breathed her last yesterday evening.

Seetharavamma passed away at her hometown Pedakakani in Guntur district. Her last rites will be held today.

Boyapati Srinu is best known for directing action movies, he has garnered two state Nandi Awards and two “TSR National Awards” for his works. In 2005, Boyapati Srinu made his directorial debut with Bhadra, in which Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, Meera Jasmine, and Prakash Raj played the lead role. His second directorial venture was Tulasi, which was released in 2007. In 2010, Boyapati Srinu came up with Simha, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna in a dual role, Nayantara and Sneha Ullal. In 2012, Boyapati made his fourth film Dhammu, in which Jr NTR and Trisha Krishnan played the lead roles. Currently, he is busy in the pre-production work of his next upcoming untitled directorial venture in which Nandamuri Balakrishna will play the lead role.

Several colleagues and well-wishers extended their condolences to Boyapati Srinu on his loss.
