Yatra, a movie based on former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy’ padayatra, directed by Mahi V Raghav, is all set to make its first appearance on TV on this Sunday. Yatra starring Malayalam Megastar Mammootty will be telecast at 12 pm on Sunday on Star Maa. As the movie will be telecast on Television before the elections, it will help YSRCP and its president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The timing of the Yatra premiere is surprising everyone.
Yatra is an emotional drama which highlights some iconic moments from YS Rajasekhar Reddy’ 2004 Padayatra. Malayalam Superstar Mammootty is playing the role of YS Rajasekhara Reddy in Yatra, which is jointly produced by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy under the banner of 70mm Entertainments banner. Apart from Mammootty, Yatra has other stars like Jagapathi Babu, Anasuya, Posani and Rao Ramesh in crucial roles.
Yatra has emotional content and the way the director has showed the greatness of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, is really appreciable. The movie can influence many voters.
It is heard that Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supports are not happy with the premier timing of Yatra and they are demanding to postpone the TV premier of Yatra.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is aspiring to become Andhra Pradesh chief minister in his late father Y S Rajasekhar Reddy’s footsteps will, for the second time, and contest from Pulivendula in Kadapa district. Jagan Mohan Reddy started his political career as a leader of the Congress party and later he became Member of Parliament from Kapapa seat in 2009 Lok Sabha poll.
On the otherside, Jagan Mohan Reddy’ the political campaign song ‘Ravali Jagan, Kavali Jagan’ has crossed more than 11 million views on YouTube by Thursday morning, and became the most-watched Indian political campaign song on the Google.
The polls will be held in Andhra Pradesh on 11th April.
