Comedian Ali to contest from Guntur East from TDP in Assembly Elections

Comedian Ali to contest from Guntur East from TDP in Assembly Elections TDP (Telugu Desam Party) Chief Chandrababu Naidu has focused on selecting the party candidates for Assembly and Parliamentary Elections 2019. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has given a green signal to Dhulipalla Narendra for Ponnur Assembly seat. TDP Chief has reportedly completed selecting the 7 Assembly constituencies candidates coming under Guntur Parliamentary segment. Comedian Ali’ name has been confirmed by the TDP party as a contestant for the Guntur East assembly constituency. Alapati Raja name has been almost finalised from Tenali constituency.

The official announcement by the TDP Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu is expected soon. Apparently, Comedian Ali who hails from Rajahmundry, has started preparation and has set up camp in Guntur. Interestingly, Ali wanted to contest from Rajamundry but he was assigned Guntur East due to the large number of Muslim voter in the constituency. TDP hasn’t won Guntur East Seat since 2004. Muslims can influence the results in this Guntur East assembly constituency. That is the main reason TDP Leadership is keen to make Comedian Ali contest from here.

The Sources say that Ali recently took a house for rent in Guntur after he got confirmation from Telugu Desam Party Chief Chandrababu Naidu.

It is not an easy task for Ali as YCP will also field a Muslim Leader in this constituency- Guntur East.
