Ship for Akkineni beautyKalyani Priyadarshan made her Telugu debut as lead actress with Akkineni Akhil starrer action and romantic entertainer Hello, which was helmed by Vikram Kumar of 24 and Manam fame. Now the Akkineni girl has joined the sets of her father’s upcoming big budget Malayalam film, Marakkar : Arabikadalinte Simham.  This news is confirmed by Kalyani Priyadarshan herself as wrote on the wall of Twitter, “Guess who I start shoot with today! @priyadarshandir.”

The shoot of this upcoming film has been already started and is going on in Ramjo Film City. According to the latest update, a special set of a ship was built under the supervision of National Award winning production designer Sabu Cyril and the makers are planning to shoot few crucial scenes in ship in which Kalyani Priyadarshan will also be participated. The art director and Priyadarshan share a good rapport having worked together in over 40 films. Kalyani Priyadarshan is the daughter of filmmaker  Priyadarshan  and  Malayalam  actress Lissy.

 Malayalam star Mohanlal is playing the lead role. Apart from Mohanlal and Kalyani Priyadarshan, Marakkar : Arabikadalinte Simham has other stars like Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty and Keerthy Suresh. Pranav Mohanlal is making a cameo appearance in it and he will be seen playing the younger version of his father’s role. On the occasion of Keerthy Suresh’s birthday, Kalyani Priyadarshan wrote her birthday wishes on her Facebook page besides confirming that both of them are part of Mohanlal’s Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham.

Kalyani Priyadarshan  and Mohanlal starrer Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is based on the true life of Kunjali Marakkar IV. It is produced jointly by Antony Perumbavoor, Santhosh T. Kuruvilla and C.J. Roy under their respective banner

Apart from Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham , Kalyani Priyadarshan will also be seen in Sai Dharam Tej’s Chitralahari and another film with young actor Sharwanand.
